Come out and support the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia to make a difference in the lives of children right here in our hometown!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia is a one-to-one mentoring program that serves children ages 6-18 in Richland and Lexington counties since 1972, changing their lives for the better, forever. Research shows that children who have a mentor are less likely to skip school, begin using illegal drugs and alcohol and are even twice as likely as their fathers to earn a degree from a four-year college. For more than a century, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America has been helping to change kids’ perspectives and has given them the opportunity to reach their potential. In the last 10 years alone, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia has served more than 800 children.
